Talent Acquisition Specialist
ALE is looking to add a team member to our Human Resources Department. Our Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for developing recruiting strategies in support of organizational staffing objectives and executing those strategies to deliver suitable job candidates for positions at ALE.

This full-time position is Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication skills, and is eager to learn.

Daily Functions of this Position:

  • Establish recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives.
  • Build applicant sources by researching and contacting colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport.
  • Determine applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications.
  • Attract applicants by placing job advertisements; contacting recruiters, and using job sites.
  • Determine applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; running background check; comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Arrange interviews by coordinating schedules.
  • Evaluate applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interviewing applicants on set of qualifications.
  • Avoid legal challenges by understanding current legislation; enforcing regulations with managers; recommending new procedures; conducting training.
  • Coordinate and oversee ALE’s internship programs, including but not limited to the college internship program during the summer months.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations.
  • Organize, schedule and conduct new hire orientations and onboarding.
  • Assist with the maintenance of human resource databases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems.
  • Continue to improve upon HR acumen/education by attending seminars/webinars and workshops.
  • Help organize all human resource related documentation and provide administrative support to the department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Knowledge and Skills

  • 1-2 years of recruiting experience a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
  • Bachelor’s Degree a plus.
  • PHR or SPHR Certification a plus.
  • Background in research.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations.
  • Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
