Whether it’s three weeks in a hotel or three months in a temporary home, ALE will work with insurance companies to find comfortable housing accommodations for families when they need it most.

Data Architect
We are seeking a Data Architect to join our team. This position is responsible for understanding all data assets and services, how they relate to each other and how data flows between systems. The data architect will provide architectural guidance and solutions to support our new business initiatives and changes to existing data models. This is mainly a remote position, but some in-office work is preferred.

Daily Functions of this Position:

Responsibilities:

  • Design, deliver and maintain data architecture with a focus on standards, growth, performance, flexibility, reliability, and scalability
  • Design, develop and maintain data models
  • Design and develop complex ETL jobs and data flows
  • Provide guidance to the development team and contribute to new application features
  • Contribute to performance optimization and improve data pipelines, ETL processes, queries, analytics tools, and other data processes
  • Lead data migration projects
  • Lead archiving and warehousing initiatives
  • Collaborate on data quality improvement projects
  • Collaborate with security team to safeguard and secure data
  • Participate in quality assurance activities
  • Create technical documentation
  • Work with engineering to install, configure, and deploy SQL Server instances and database environments
  • Help support and maintain several SQL server environments
  • Troubleshooting issues and incident resolution
  • May include supervisory or mentoring responsibilities

Basic Knowledge and Skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related area (data science, mathematics, statistics etc.)
  • 10+ years in Information Technology
  • 7+ years of experience using SQL Server
  • 5+ years of database design, data modeling and ETL development
  • Experience in designing SQL Server environments
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and see-through long-term projects
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload effectively
  • Proactive working style with the ability to adapt to change
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills are required
  • Must be able to work well individually without supervision as well as part of a team
