At an early age, I learned that hard work, passion, and commitment lead to success.

My mom paved the way for our family to realize the "American Dream." I was only 2 when my mom left behind my dad and her 4 children and immigrated to the United States from the Philippines in search of a better opportunity for us.

While my mom was in the U.S., my grandmother taught me how to survive. She used to take me to the open market every weekend, where we would find a good location to set up our bamboo mat and sell the vegetables we grew.

My mom juggled 2 or sometimes 3 Nursing jobs. After 5 years, my mom's dream finally came true! She became a U.S. Citizen and had saved enough money to bring all of us to this country. My mom’s strong work ethic, determination and vision taught me always to give 110% and to "Dream Big!" Thanks, Mom!

In 2001, I realized a dream of my own and started ALE Solutions from the basement of my home. I was determined to build a company based on integrity and heart.

From paying my way through college at the University of Illinois–Chicago to pursuing careers in retail, advertising and consulting – I love a challenge.

My prior experience in the temporary housing industry sparked ideas about building a better mousetrap. I launched ALE with a desire to provide an easier and more transparent way to serve the needs of displaced policyholders.

Driven to be the best that I can be, I find joy in making memorable experiences for our customers.

As ALE grew, so did my family. I am the mother of three boys, who bring out the kid in me. They challenge me to imagine what the future will look like, and convict me to stay ahead of technology and never to take business for granted.

I want our clients to rely on ALE to create innovative, fun, easy-to-use solutions.

Today, I am involved in every facet of ALE, working with management to ensure the company delivers exemplary service and exceeds the needs of insurance carriers. ALE has grown into a dynamic, nationwide temporary housing company that employs hundreds of people and serves thousands. It humbles me to see the commitment that everyone on the ALE team exhibits as they go above and beyond for our customers.

Though we have experienced tremendous growth, I remain passionate about being available to any customer, anytime with one phone call. I love my job!

Rob’s background in manufacturing and leadership provided the foundation to take ALE Solutions to a higher level of service.

Rob earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Southern Illinois University and a Masters in Operations Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. He has 25 years experience in manufacturing operations management, and for five years owned a contract manufacturing business.

He joined ALE Solutions shortly after his wife Rowena founded the company. “She’s entrepreneurial-driven, while I’m more process oriented. Our skill sets have always meshed well, which has enabled us to grow successfully.”

Rob is responsible for ensuring that ALE Solutions is in a position to deliver quality service in any situation, quickly, efficiently, and consistently.

He sees continuous process improvement as a driving force behind reducing the overall cost of hiring a temporary housing company. He has authored many of the benchmarking tools widely accepted as industry standards today. Rob’s vision to proactively serve policyholders at first notice of loss led to the creation of ALE’s Hotel Solutions division.

Rob’s integrity and availability have made him a trusted consultant to executive level management.

With more than 20 years of experience in the temporary housing, executive relocation, real estate and furniture rental industries, Christa Landgraf understands the needs of insurance carriers and their policyholders.

As Vice President at ALE Solutions, Christa brings her expertise mix to serve as the primary contact for the company’s largest accounts, to manage special projects and major relocations, and to assist with brand and product development. She also oversees new business opportunities.

“Our clients need to be confident that with one phone call, they’ll get swift and successful results, so adjusters can focus on what’s most important to them in serving their customers.

Our team is equipped to handle an exceptional turnkey service, no matter what comes their way.”

Passionate about getting displaced families placed as soon as possible, Christa stays connected to adjusters, policyholders and her teams to ensure everyone stays happy and “in the know” during the temporary housing process. She also emphasizes ALE’s specialty: immediate relocation specialist attention to policyholders (within minutes!) and short-term housing lease negotiations.

Christa’s business experience has served her well in her current position. She worked as a Regional Account Executive with Fortune 100 consumer products company Proctor and Gamble, then joined an executive relocation firm, where she facilitated moves for McDonald’s, AT&T, BP and a number of other major U.S. and international companies. She continued to manage corporate relocations as Vice President of Sales for Brook Furniture Rental, in addition to hiring and development, P & L responsibility, distribution center oversight and new market development.

A graduate of Bradley University in Peoria, Ill., with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications, Christa earned graduate hours in the MBA program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.

She has been active in her profession, holding numerous board positions with the Corporate Relocation Council, the Corporate Housing Providers Association, as well as regional real estate and business organizations.

For clients in crisis, a calm, soothing voice can make all the difference, says Darlene, ALE Solutions’ Client Services Manager. “We help those who’ve lost more than a home. They’ve lost personal items, pets, and sometimes even loved ones. To serve them even in a small way is extremely rewarding.”

Darlene attended the American Academy of Art in Chicago, and her career background comprises customer service, design and psychology. All have provided excellent preparation for the position she’s held at ALE Solutions for over five years. “My customer service experience provides the heart and soul to what I do. Design helps me find creative solutions, psychology helps me handle complex situations and make deeper connections.”

The Client Services Department was created as a liaison not only to outside clients, but to inside team members as well. “Our goal is to always go the extra mile to create a positive, memorable experience by exceeding expectations.”

Darlene’s team not only fields calls from adjusters, landlords and policyholders, they also perform personal follow-ups, checking in with customers to gauge their level of satisfaction. “I wholeheartedly believe in what we do. Our attention to detail and personal follow-up has helped put ALE Solutions in the forefront of the temporary housing industry.”

Serving over forty years in the accounting field, including fifteen years of senior level experience, Rene brings financial expertise and exemplary management skills to ALE Solutions.

Since receiving her Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Aurora University, Rene has held accounting positions with increasing levels of responsibility in the printing, real estate trust and relocation industries. She’s worked in a variety of accounting disciplines, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Human Resources, Fixed Asset, Cost and General Accounting, which has provided a broad knowledge base in all facets of corporate accounting.

Rene has been a part of the ALE Solutions team for nine years. As Vice President of Accounting and Finance, she oversees all accounting and financial reporting of the company, as well as oversees the Human Resources department. She also maintains internal control practices to ensure Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP) compliance. Rene and her staff coordinate internal and external audits, prepare management reports for strategic planning purposes, interact with operations to ensure efficient information flow and project management, and optimize banking and external CPA firm relationships.

As ALE Solutions’ Chief Information Officer, Matt manages all of the company’s information technology and technology-related solutions. He specializes in creating web applications, an important element that will continue to enhance and support ALE’s excellent customer service. Matt’s daily responsibilities include managing the IT department as well as planning, directing, and implementing IT projects.

Matt comes to ALE Solutions with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to joining ALE Solutions, he spent ten years as a software developer, project manager and director of development, for a highly respected web engineering firm serving over three thousand clients in a variety of industries.

Matt brings today’s technology solutions to the ever-changing needs of our mobile clients. Never resting, Matt is passionate about matching the latest systems and tools to our customer’s needs. Matt implements and facilitates training to maximize their effectiveness. “I analyze, plan and am always looking for ways technology can help our employees and customers. Everything our department does directly connects to the employees’ ability to serve our customers.”

Shari graduated from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where she studied psychology and sociology, and the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, where she earned a Masters in Counseling. She joined ALE in 2008, after completing her Master’s degree.

As ALE Solutions’ Director of Human Resources, Shari manages the day-to-day operations and strategic planning of the Human Resource Department. Her responsibilities include recruiting and staffing logistics, organizational planning, performance management and improvement systems, organization development, employee orientation, development, and training, compensation and benefits administration, and employee relations.

Shari relies on her educational background and training each day. “In recruiting it helps determine who is best for a particular position. I also advocate for both the employee and employer, so finding the balance of compassion, practicality and fairness is important.”

Experience as Resident Assistant at Carthage College enhanced her leadership skills. Seasonal positions with ALE Solutions during her student years helped her develop a broad-based knowledge of the company and its mission. “Human Resources is about providing the best support to the employees while always strategically thinking of the company’s interests, needs and goals for the future.”

As Director of Housing Solutions, Jessica leads her team in delivering seamless temporary housing solutions to policyholders.

Jessica brought her residential property consultant skills to ALE Solutions. She has a record of excellence having served ALE in numerous operation roles.

From a front line move-out coordinator assisting policyholders with the details of their lease, to a single point of contact for adjusters, Jessica has executed all aspects of the housing process.

Having worked directly with adjusters, Jessica understands the importance of timely delivery of cost effective, like-kind-quality housing solutions.

Jessica strives daily to lead with humility, reflecting the ALE spirit. From the first referral to final move-out, Jessica expects flawless execution from her team. Attention to detail, creative problem solving, and team building are hallmarks of Jessica’s leadership style.

Tony Frank grew up in Davenport, Iowa and obtained his Bachelor of Arts from The University of Iowa, majoring in Psychology and Philosophy, with a minor in Music. He then attended law school at The University of Iowa, College of Law, and received his Juris Doctorate in 2010. Before joining our team at ALE Solutions, Tony worked as an attorney for The Shindler Law Firm in Schaumburg, IL. Tony and his wife Chloe married in June 2015.

Helping families beyond the storm

ALE Solutions extends a helping hand worldwide through its nonprofit arm, ALECares.

ALECares' mission is two-fold: to directly assist families who are uninsured or underinsured, and to raise consumer awareness of the importance of properly insuring residential properties.

ALECares’ volunteers have been on-site at shelters providing water and food to disaster survivors. They also have offered furniture and housewares to families placed in rental units, and additional night stays at hotels for the underinsured.

The passion behind the nonprofit stems from seeing families go without housing in times of disaster. A portion of every placement goes toward ALECares, allowing our specialists to give back with every event.
